The Moroccan Atlas is the only place in the world where the Rhassoul can be found (in the plains bordering the Moroccan Atlas)
The Rhassoul is extracted and sorted by hand from the mine. It is never in contact with the ground or any other contaminating source.
Then it is washed and filtered with water to remove all impurities. The resulting sludge is dumped in large flat barren surfaces and exposed to the sun, protected from any contaminants by a greenhouse. Dry, the platelets are picked up and grounded thanks to a crusher.
